There are many ways to burn calories. Here are 10 ways that you can burn those
100 calories. These are based on a person weighing about 150 pounds, if you
weigh more you will burn the 100 calories faster than the time stated.
1. Take a 30 minute ride on your bike. If you go about 20 MPH on the bike you
can burn 100 calories in under 5 minutes.
2. Walk 1 mile at a moderate pace.
3. Run 5 MPH for 10 minutes.
4. Jumping rope. To burn 100 calories it will only take about 10 minutes.
5. Swimming laps in the pool can burn the calories off in less than 10 minutes
also.
6. Dancing with your spouse or significant other for 25 minutes. If you dance
fast it will only take you 15 minutes. But slow dancing with them is so much
nicer.
7. Mowing the grass for 15 minutes. This is using a push mower. If you are on
a riding mower it will take about an hour to burn the 100 calories.
8. If you are jogging you can burn the calories in about 10-15 minutes. More
calories are burned if you are jogging up hill.
9. Playing a vigorous game of tennis for about 15 minutes.
10. Power walk for 20 minutes. Take along your Ipod for great tunes.
11. Shoot some hoops while on your power walk for another 20 minutes to burn
another 100 calories.
12. If you have 25 minutes you can clean your house to burn the calories or
mop the floors.
13. Wash your car yourself it takes about 30 minutes to do it, but you will
burn about 100 calories while washing your car.
14. Work in your garden for 20 minutes this can be either weeding or planting.
15. Grab your kids and a kite and go fly that kite for 30 minutes Or tossing a
Frisbee for the same 30 minutes will burn these calories.
16. Play tag with your kids for about 25 minutes
17. Take your kids roller skating for 20 minutes.
18. Playing soccer of kickball will only take you 20 minutes.
19. Step aerobics - 15 minutes on these.
20. Low impact aerobics will take about 15 minutes. Turn up the music and do
it.
As you can see there are many activities that you can do with many of them
that you can do with your kids and have fun while you are burning these 100
